Wedding Events
Welcome Party, Friday, August 31, 8:30pm - Please join us in welcoming our guests to Durham at our house on Friday, August 31, 2007 starting at 8:30pm. We will have snacks and drinks at our place Friday evening for anyone that's in town! Our address is 2704 Indian Trail, Durham, NC 27705. See the directions link for more detailed directions.
Wedding Ceremony, Saturday, September 1, 3:00pm - Ceremony starts at 3:00pm at Duke Chapel (Chapel Drive, Durham, NC).
Ceremony/Reception Transportation - there will be a bus to transport guests from the Courtyard by Marriott to the ceremony, reception, and then back to the hotel. The bus will make multiple trips; it will leave the hotel at 2:20pm and 2:45pm before the ceremony. We strongly recommend taking advantage of this option; there is limited parking in front of the chapel. In addition, there is a home Duke football game going on the same day, and there will be limited parking throughout campus.
Wedding Reception, Saturday, September 1 - Directly following the ceremony, please join us at a reception to celebrate our marriage at the Doris Duke Center in Duke Gardens.
Post-Reception Party, Saturday, September 1 - Snacks and drinks will be provided for an informal gathering in the lobby of the hotel (Courtyard by Marriott) after the reception.
Sunday Morning Brunch, Sunday, September 2, 10:00am - Please come say goodbye to the happy couple Sunday morning after the wedding for brunch. Brunch will be held at Pomodoro Italian Kitchen at 10:00am. Pomodoro is located directly in front of the hotel (Courtyard by Marriott) at 1811 Hillandale Road, Durham, NC.

Durham Information
Restaurants:
Very close to the Courtyard by Marriott (on Hillandale Rd):
Pomodoro Italian Kitchen: good Italian food, good dessert - this is where we're having brunch Sunday morning though, so you may want to try somewhere different!
El Corral Mexican Restaurant: decent, reasonably priced
Meelo Restaurant: also decent, but Tracy is currently angry at them because they wouldn't give her chicken tenders because it's a "kids meal" even though she offered to pay for a full grown-up meal
Papas Grille: fabulous Greek food, pretty expensive
China King: cheap, okay food (better Chinese place elsewhere ...see below)
Our Favorites:
Chai's: Asian noodle place, good food, we recommend the chicken lo mein and edamame (Address: 2816 Erwin Road, Durham. From Courtyard by Marriott, turn right on Hillandale Rd, then at the end, turn right on Erwin Rd. Chai's will be on the right in a shopping center in about a mile)
Mellow Mushroom: You Emory folks will be familiar with this one. Best pizza in town. (Address: 410 Blackwell Street. From Courtyard by Marriott, turn right on Hillandale. Turn left onto the 147 South, Durham Freeway. Exit 13 at Chapel Hill St, turn left on W Chapel Hill St. Turn right on West Pettigrew Street. Turn right on Blackwell Street.)
